Sunday Funk Frequencies 7pm – 10pm (December 21, 2025)

Close out the weekend your way—with smooth moves, clean grooves, and grown-up skate vibes at our Sunday Funk Frequencies Adults-Only Skate. This 18+ session is for adults who want to roll, vibe, and unwind to a hand-picked soundtrack of funk, disco, house, and throwback favorites. The lights are low, the energy is high, and the floor is yours—whether you’re skating solo, linking up with friends, or showing off your signature style. This event is co-hosted with Encounters of the Funky Kind:

Encounters of the Funky Kind is an analog DJ collective. Members Kenji Rei, Oh-So Ritmico, and Funky Jarocho are on a galactic quest to bring you funky tunes. Kenji Rei is a DJ, producer, and songwriter from Marina, CA. He is a resident DJ on Sweet Vibrations Radio (UK) with a monthly Neo Soul/Hip-Hop show. Oh-So Ritmico is a Monterey-based vinyl DJ with a groovy collection of music from around the world. Check them out on SoundCloud and Instagram.

On the day of the event, street parking is available on Fairground Road. For this weekend only, enter the Fairgrounds using Gate 4 (not Gate 5, the regular gate we use) and you’ll be directed to the King City building. Doors open 10 minutes before a session.
