Adult Skating Lessons

The Sunday Adult Skating Lesson is designed for those 13 and over. Held right before the Sunday Afternoon Family Skate, this hour-long lesson provides guidance, tips, and encouragement in a relaxed, supportive environment. Your instructor will be Scarlett Aamodt, a certified personal trainer, skate instructor, and hockey coach. Protective gear (helmet, knee, elbow, and wrist) required and available for sale. The lesson includes admission to the family skate from 1pm-4pm that follows.

🛼 Why Should You Sign Up?

  • Take your skating to the next level â€“ go beyond the basics and add style, control, and flair to your moves.
  • Learn artistic skating techniques â€“ from smooth transitions and spins to balance challenges like “shoot the duck.”
  • Challenge yourself in a supportive environment â€“ our instructors make sure lessons are fun, safe, and tailored to your comfort level.
  • Build confidence â€“ mastering new moves on wheels is exciting and rewarding.
  • Skate with peers â€“ join other motivated skaters who want to grow, practice, and have fun together.

What To Expect?

Every lesson is a mix of demonstration, step-by-step coaching, and practice time. We’ll cover skills like forward scissors, jumping, one-foot spins, and more. Our instructors adapt the session based on who’s in class—so whether you’re brand new to intermediate skills or already landing advanced tricks, you’ll be challenged at the right level.

What You’ll Learn

Every skill is first demonstrated, then broken down into simple, easy-to-follow steps so you can practice at your own pace while feeling supported. To keep things engaging, lessons also include games and fun activities that reinforce what’s being taught. These playful exercises encourage repetition, teamwork, and confidence while making learning feel like an adventure. By the end of each class, you should walk away with new skills, a sense of accomplishment, and excitement for your next time on skates.
