Kids Skating Lessons

The Saturday Kids Skating Lesson is designed for those 12 and under. Whether your child is a beginner finding their balance or a skater looking to improve their skills, this lesson is the perfect place to level up. Held right after the Saturday Morning Kids Skate, this hour-long lesson provides guidance, tips, and encouragement in a relaxed, supportive environment. Your instructor will be Scarlett Aamodt, a certified personal trainer, skate instructor, and hockey coach. Protective gear (helmet, knee, elbow, and wrist) required and available for sale. The lesson includes admission to the family skate from 1pm-4pm that follows.

🛼 Why Sign Your Child Up?

  • Boosts confidence: Mastering new skills helps kids feel proud and capable.
  • Encourages physical activity: Skating is fantastic for balance, coordination, and endurance.
  • Safe and structured learning: Instructors guide students through skills step-by-step.
  • Social fun: Kids make friends while sharing the joy of skating.
  • Family-friendly foundation: Lessons prepare kids to join family skates with ease.

What They’ll Learn

Our skating lessons are designed to meet each child right where they are. At the start of class, the instructor observes the group’s skill levels—whether it’s a child’s very first time on wheels or they’re already skating with some confidence—and then adapts the lesson to fit. Every skill is first demonstrated, then broken down into simple, easy-to-follow steps so kids can practice at their own pace while feeling supported.

To keep things engaging, lessons also include games and fun activities that reinforce what’s being taught. These playful exercises encourage repetition, teamwork, and confidence while making learning feel like an adventure. By the end of each class, kids walk away with new skills, a sense of accomplishment, and excitement for their next time on skates.
